Created in the highlands of Arandas, Mexico, using the particularly sweet agave from the region, El Tesoro de Don Felipe then transports the agave to the legendary 1937 La Altena distillery where it is chopped, stacked in a huge brick oven called a ‘horno’ and steamed for 36 hours. Next, fermented in wooden vats and distilled to proof with no water or sugar added, it is distilled in copper pots twice to produce a crystal clear and beautifully smooth tequila.
