Domaine Bart Fixin 2021
The nose has plenty of volume – showing a bit more structurally austere at the moment. Also more structure in the mouth – but architecturally, its shape, not from a tannic perspective. Not quite as ready but almost as good today – this excellent wine has everything.
Domaine Bart is a wine estate in Marsannay in the northern Côte de Nuits in Burgundy, chiefly producing red wines from the Pinot Noir grape variety. Pierre Bart represents the sixth generation of the family to run the estate.
There are 22 hectares (54 acres) of estate vineyards, mostly in Marsannay, making nine different single-vineyard Pinot Noir wines. Domaine Bart also has plots of Pinot Noir in Fixin, Santenay, and the grand crus Bonnes Mares and Chambertin-Clos-de-Bèze. The domaine’s Chardonnay plots are in Marsannay, Santenay and Savigny-lès-Beaune.
