The same 80% corn, 12% malted barley, and 8% rye are used to make both Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey and Jack Daniel’s 12-year-old Tennessee Whiskey. Before entering the barrel, unaged whiskey is gradually mellowed through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal.

These Tennessee Whiskey barrels have been aging in the upper floors of their barrelhouse, evolving Jacks past aged-stated whiskey procedure, and have then been carefully moved to the bottom ricks to extend the aging process. The powerful, distinctive flavor of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey at 107 percent is produced by the considerable weather variation at various areas in the barrelhouses as well as the longevity in our hand-crafted oak barrels.
