A complex, high-proof whiskey that packs a lot of flavor, without any burn. The forward flavor is salted caramel, but there’s a lot more going on at the back of the tongue. Long finish. It needs to breathe a bit; I find that a drop or two of water and a few minutes in the glass opens up the flavors. I’ve had several of the Jefferson’s Ocean expressions, and Voyage 21 Cask Strength is my favorite. Get it before it’s gone.
