Michel’s first (and for long, only) cuvée bears the historic name of the village of Avize, the village home to such legends as Selosse and Agrapart. Michel makes this wine in the same methods as his mentor Anselme Selosse, utilizing a perpetual reserve which contributes around 50% of each bottling, the remainder being a single vintage. As a wine of this quality and pedigree should, it possesses both freshness and developed flavors; fruits are ripe and rich, showing both honeyed tones and incredible lift.
