Released as part of Diageo’s 2022 Special Releases, Oban 10 Year Old Special Release Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a spectacle of vibrant berry and spiced plum spanking through sweet and salty air. Produced at the Oban Distillery – one of the oldest and smallest distilleries in Scotland – this 10 year old single malt is matured in refill and new American Oak, then double maturation in ex-Sherry & Amontillado seasoned casks. Bottled at a natural cask strength of 57.1% ABV (114.2-proof), the nose brings maritime aromas, infused with hints of lint and light olive oil, and a light note of lemon citrus fruit. The palate is soft and creamy-smooth, while the taste shines brightly with wine-fruit notes that carry hints of sweet violet and spiced plum.
