Tears of Llorona No 3 Extra Anejo Tequila is a very limited-release tequila, made lovingly by German Gonzalez. Originally intended to represent Gonzalez’s personal stock, this hand-crafted tequila is created using extra mature agaves grown in the soil of Atotonico, Mexico. Once harvested, the agave is roasted and macerated into a refined surgery aguamiel distillate. Tears of Llorona No. 3 Extra Anejo is aged for a minimum of 4.5-5 years in a combination of select barrels, namely; 1/2 ex-Scotch whisky barrels, 1/4 Sherry casks, and 1/4 French Limousin previously used to mature fine cognac. The tequila is then blended and bottled at 43% ABV. This exceptional liquor offers aromatic notes of vanilla and honeysuckle flowers between hints of dark cherries, toffee, and cream.
