The Macallan Edition No. 2 Single Malt Scotch Whisky follows in the footsteps of its sibling iteration, Edition 1, and capitalizes on the craftsmanship and quality of genuinely skilled persons in the food and fine liquor industries. Matured in a combination of select sherry puncheons, butts, and refill hogshead – made of both American and European oak – this marvelously refined NAS whisky is bottled at 48.2% ABV. Aromatic notes of delicate tiramisu, mascarpone, and melted chocolate greet the nose followed by hints of muscovado sugar and fresh fruits. The tongue mirrors the nose perfectly with added layers of rich coffee, aged wood, figs, cinnamon spice, and baked pears.
