Made from one of Italy’s greatest native white grapes, it comes from top terroir in the hills of the Colli Orientali in Friuli, and it absolutely stunned us when we first tried it at VinItaly. In the glass, a golden-tinged appeal with a copper rim. The aromas are led by a bounty of Meyer lemon peel with chamomile, ginger, and a hint of saffron. The palate is expressive and delicious, with a hint of green apple and citrus, plus a kiss of acidity lingering over the long finish. A vibrant, crisp and joyful wine, with breadth and precision.
